I’ve always wanted my work to feel masculine. And although I believe what constitutes masculinity spans a huge spectrum of qualities, one of those core qualities for me is strength, particularly quiet strength. I think that is why I am drawn to concrete, wood, and steel. These materials quietly form the world around us - protecting us and creating space to love and live.
In Mexico, adobe often covers concrete, wood, and steel, adding additional layers of quiet and strength.
